A pleasant stroll along this popular stretch of coastline.
Start in the postcard-picture village of Polperro, around the
point to Talland Bay and then a comfortable walk into Looe. From
there it's just a short hop into Millendreath.
For this walk, you need OS Landranger 201, Plymouth &
Launceston.
Severity
of walk
This is a good walk to get you started...There
are a few steep parts, but mostly they're short and not very
difficult. Many people enjoy this walk, quite a lot seem to go
from Looe to Polperro then back again. The tower of Talland Church
can be seen, near to the markers of the "Measured Nautical
Mile". Just outside Hannafore is a ruined Celtic chapel;
it's up a steep slope, so we didn't visit it! Looe itself is
a busy and pretty town with, it seems, something for everyone.
After Looe is the rather exclusive area of Plaidy, with a private
beach, then finally the walk back down to Millendreath.

Millendreath can be found on the B3253 to Looe. To get to
this road depends on where you are in Cornwall (or Devon). We
drove along the A38, turning onto the B3252 then taking a few
back roads to end up on the B3253 at No Man's Land. The turning
to Millendreath is just beside a large holiday complex called
"Looe Bay Holiday Park", and is signposted "Millendreath
1 mile". Follow down to Millendreath, and you'll see a large
car park on the right-hand side. Depending on the time of year,
depends on whether you have to pay. (well, it was years ago when
we were there!)

From Millendreath, drive back to the B3253 and turn left,
then join the A387 into Looe. Drive across the bridge and just
follow the road to Polperro, turning into the car park on the
right-hand side.
