My Page

My name is Colin, and that's me on the left of the picture. Next to me is my wife Helen; our two children have left home and it's heaven! We've known John and Dot for several years now, and for some strange reason seem to get on really well: Which is odd, because we are so different. When we started these walks, we were all in our forties: Sadly, that's no longer true for any of us! We all lived and worked in Newquay, which is nicely central for all parts of Cornwall. Now, Helen and I have moved nearer to Truro: I still work in Newquay and Helen works in Clinton Cards in Truro (plug) 2023 update: Now we're all retired and have been for some time (10 yrs in my case). I'm leaving my write-up as it is, because that was the situation when we did our walking, so I think it has a relevance.

We call ourselves "The Famous Five" because there are four of us, and our dog 'Honey' who has been with us on every walk makes us five: She seems to be on almost every photo that's been taken!  I was going to write a book about our walks (dream on) and call it "Walks with a Woof" But didn't - you've got this instead!

We started our walks on 17/4/95: We finally completed the coastline on 7/11/99 Quite a long time eh?

The "personal memories" pages have been written by Helen, and I have put them in as written. Now, I am a computer nerd, and have been since about 1983: Helen isn't...so she types the narrative using a typewriter, I scan this into Word using OCR, then copy the text into the HTML page. Good eh?
