Section 7
HELFORD
TO PENCARROW HEAD
This section is the start of the softer south
coast of Cornwall. The Helford River is one of the most sheltered in Britain,
and there are several sub-tropical gardens on its banks. Falmouth has one
of the deepest natural harbours in The World while over the other side of
Carrick Roads lies St Anthony Lighthouse- the setting for Fraggle Rock.Fishing
villages abound, Portscatho, Portloe, Mevagissey right through to Fowey
at the eastern end of this section.
A marvellous area to walk, with terrific views
all the way
