Section
5
This walk contains an abundance of
scenic beauty: From the remoteness of Lands End you travel past
small coves and fishing villages weathered over the centuries,
through the most westerly town in England, Penzance, to the ancient
church of Gunwalloe. Dominating most of this section is the island
of St Michaels' Mount; known to the Phoenecians long before the
Romans invaded.
Most of the walks in this section are
a joy to follow, with glimpses of Cornwall's long-distant past;
while others will show you the modern side to Cornwall.
