Porthcurno is renowned as the home of The
Minack Theatre and also until recently, of the Marconi Training
College. Further along you find the small hamlet of Penberth,
with its colourful fishing boats; then the sheltered valley of
St Loy, visible only from the sea. Finally, Lamorna has a well-deserved
reputation as one of the most beautiful coves in Cornwall.

Take the B3315 from Newlyn to Porthcurno, turning left to
Lamorna. The car park is on the old harbour, and there should
be room unless it's high summer; in which case, get there early
in the day.

Drive back to the main road and turn left. Continue along
and turn left at the T junction, signed Porthcurno and Lands
End. Watch out for a sharp and steep (downwards) right-hand bend:
Traffic coming the other way could well be on your side of the
road! After a short while, turn left towards Porthcurno, drive
past the old Marconi college on the left, and pull into the car
park on the left.
